Status messages in messengers are a legacy of their desktop past. Studies show that modern users rarely use status messages for any practictical purposes. This data is also confirmed by our gut feeling. So it is rather unlikely that we will be adding them.
But here's an idea: if there is a certain group of friends that you would like to notify of changes in your status, it may be fun to create a group with all of them and send those messages to that group.

This is the Trello board that TSF (Telegram Support Force) uses to track of bugs, features and user suggestions.
Trello cards may have labels. The following labels are possible on the issues board:
➡️ Orange: Our developers know about this issue and will or will not fix it eventually.
➡️ Yellow: We can't reproduce the bug, need more details on what is happening and when.
➡️ Purple: This issue will be fixed in the upcoming public release and is already gone in the beta.
➡️ Mint green: A version with the fix was already sent to the relevant Store.
➡️ Blue: It is either impossible to fix this (platform restrictions, etc.), or this is how we want it to work.
➡️ Green: The issue can be resolved simply by updating to the latest public version of the app.
➡️ Black: This is a frequent issue, we're getting many complaints about it.
➡️ Cyan:The issue was reviewed by a bug herder and reported to the developer. All we can do now is wait and report any new occurrences in the comments (don't forget the #tq tags).
➡️ Red: This card is longer needed and is scheduled for deletion. Please don't delete it manually, we'll take care of it.

Telegram is currently waiting for iOS app store approval. Features are ready, but they need to make them available simultaneously (because otherwise a lot of people we'll be seeing this "unavailable" message - all gifs are auto converted to mp4), and the app store approval is the slowest one.

Telegram to roll out Inline Bots. Payment coming soon?
As Telegram's bot platform becomes increasingly important for the young messenger network, Telegram now takes it one step further: Users can now interact with bots even if they are not part of an existing chat (including group chats). Is this already part of Telegram's upcoming payment platform?
Telegram payments are currently being tested in Russia.
Monetizing bots and eventually the platform itself could possibly be achieved through payments handled through Telegram. However, handling payments requires a cooperation with a bank at some point.
In Russia, where payments are currently being tested, the local online bank Tinkoff is bringing mobile payments to Telegram users through its @MoneyTalkBot.
However, it is currently unclear when and if international payments will be available to all Telegram users.
