In Beta version of Telegram for macOS, the section with device storage management has significant changes:

• Detailed information about the "Other" category.

Proposing a profile photo for a contact

Beta version of Telegram for Android now allows you to suggest a photo or video as a profile photo to your contact.

To suggest a media file, you need to open the contact's profile and select "Edit contact — Suggest photo".

In Beta version of Telegram for Android, the user can locally set a custom avatar for any of their contacts.

This avatar is only visible to the user who set it.

To set a local avatar, the contact's profile must be expanded and "Edit contact - Set photo" must be selected.

Light Mode for Android

Beta version of Telegram for Android now has a feature to disable all visual effects in the app. It is recommended only for devices with low CPU and memory parameters.

The option is located at the bottom of the 'Chat Settings' section. It is unknown whether Light Mode will be included in the stable version of the messaging app.
