We’ve gathered all major updates and news items in our monthly digest, sharing the most important highlights of October with you:
1. Trusted Merchant status. This status allows sellers to receive a blue verification badge, gives them the ability to set their nickname, as well as access new features ahead of everyone else
2. TON Space updates. You can now add a special comment (memo) when sending Toncoin. And instead of the TON Space logo, your Telegram avatar appears now.
3. Buying and selling Collectibles on Telegram. You can now effortlessly buy and showcase your Collectibles (NFT) without leaving Telegram. Simply list them for sale on any supported marketplace, access TON Space, and share the link with any Telegram user.

In September, we announced plans to distribute Wallet to all Telegram users. Today, during The Gateway conference in Dubai, we're excited to announce that Wallet has now started its global rollout within the Telegram settings menu.
This is a big step towards our goal of making Web3 accessible to everyone. Telegram integration symbolizes our vision for mass adoption of products and services based on TON Blockchain and was previously confirmed by Telegram founder Pavel Durov.
The rollout will happen in stages. From today, Wallet will be available in the Telegram settings menu for users in some countries of Africa and Latin America. In Q1 2024, Wallet will expand to more regions, including MENA and Asia. By the end of Q2 2024, Wallet is expected to be accessible worldwide.
Wallet's integration into the Telegram's settings menu is a significant step toward making blockchain technology as user-friendly as possible. Telegram users in the selected regions will now have direct access to Wallet right within Telegram’s settings menu. That means, sending and storing crypto assets will be as simple as sending a picture within a chat.

In The Open Network Ecosystem, there are hundreds of different tokens. Unlike other blockchains, these tokens are called “jettons” in TON. Here we explain their advantages, how they differ from Toncoin, and where they can be most easily purchased:
● Toncoin is the main cryptocurrency of TON Blockchain.
● A jetton is a token issued on TON Blockchain.
● You can swap, store and send any jettons in TON Space.
● To perform any action with a jetton, such as making a transfer, you have to pay a small commission in Toncoin.
What are jettons used for?
Many services in TON Ecosystem have their own jettons. Typically, holding these jettons offers some advantages – for example, the PUNK jetton allows you to participate in closed tournaments, while the STON jetton gives you the right to receive exclusive digital Collectibles. Also, many jettons are used to store value and can be traded on various exchanges, like Ston.fi or DeDust.
How and where can I buy jettons?
The most convenient way to get some jettons is directly in Telegram. Wallet users can easily exchange jettons in TON Space. Just go into your non-custodial space, tap “Swap” and select the jettons you want! Wallet will automatically handle the rest of the exchange!

Scammers are constantly looking for new ways to steal personal data and funds. To avoid falling for any tricks, it’s important to stay vigilant and keep in mind a few simple rules:
● Always block anyone who contacts you claiming to be the “Wallet Support Service.” The Wallet team will never DM you first.
● Wallet Support will never ask you to authorize your account. If you are ever asked to “confirm your identity” or “verify a transfer,” be aware that these individuals are likely scammers.
● Set up two-factor authentication in Telegram and never share your password with anyone – absolutely no one! And remember rule #1!
While Wallet has implemented various security measures, we strongly recommend not to neglect basic digital safety rules. This significantly reduces the likelihood of falling prey to a scam.

Wallet has received an important update - now you can include a comment when withdrawing TON. A comment is usually required when sending the coin to centralized exchanges.
How do I add a comment?
You can add a comment on the transaction confirmation screen. Select TON in your Wallet, press "Send," and follow the app’s prompts.
A comment (tag or memo) is a unique user identifier on digital asset exchanges. It is required to transfer some cryptocurrencies.
Remember to include a comment when sending Toncoin to centralized exchanges. This way, your coins will not be lost.

TON ecosystem tokens can now be exchanged directly within Telegram. These tokens are also called "jettons," and we've previously discussed their benefits. In case you missed it, familiarize yourself with this link. Today, we'll guide you on how to exchange one jetton for another within TON Space:
● Navigate to TON Space through your Wallet and select the "Exchange" button.
● Choose the pair for exchange – indicate which tokens you want to swap and the desired amount.
● In Settings below, you can select acceptable Slippage Tolerance, which is set to 0.1% by default.
“Slippage is the difference in the price of a token between the time it is sent and the confirmation of the transaction on the blockchain. This difference can occur due to market volatility or low liquidity of a trading pair.”
● After selecting "Review Order," review all details, then proceed to exchange by tapping "Confirm and Swap"
And there you have it! Your Wallet balance will update as soon as you close the swap window. Try to swap jettons in your TON Space now, and let us know your favorite jetton in the comments!

TON20 Inscription Use-case on TON
Starting on December 5th, The Open Network (TON) experienced an incredible spike in network activity, thanks to the BRC20 Bitcoin Ordinals type of inscription use-case, called TON20, launched by the Tonano team.
Producing over 2 million transactions increased our network usage by 61 times within just half an hour. TON Community is proud to witness a creative use case take-off in TON driven by independent participants in the ecosystem.
Moreover, this sudden growth has revealed many interesting insights for our blockchain. Dynamic sharding technology worked as expected. At its peak, TON split into eleven shardchains, stabilizing at five shardchains to handle the heavy load.
At the same time, this phenomenon also revealed where the community should work to swiftly onboard the exponential increase in network activity expected in the near future. Network validators must ensure that TON is supported by hardware capable of scaling to the performance demanded by high usage.
Network Performance Delays
This peak interest also came with a severe congestion of TON network, where validation was severely delayed even though the network validators are still producing blocks.
Popular wallets like @Wallet and Tonkeeper have paused the service temporarily.
TON core developers are aware of the issues affecting users and are working on TON blockchain. An initial technical report is available here. TON core team will be providing us with a further update within the next 24 hours.
