- If you choose a specific idle timeout, you will not receive push notifications until you've been idle on your computer for that specific amount of time.
- Slack sends you push notifications when you’re away or idle on your desktop.
- However, Slack will always send push notifications immediately if you are completely offline, away from the app.

📱 TIP: Recurring Notifications on Android📱
❗️ Problem: When you have unread personal messages, Android notifications will repeat every hour until you open the message.
✅ Solution: Go to Settings -> Notifications and Sounds -> Repeat Notifications and select a repeat period or turn repeated notifications off altogether.

1⃣ If you add someone (adding the person as a phone contact) and write them a message, the recipient will be able to see your number.
2⃣ If you contact another user via a username, forwarded message or group, your numbers remain 'unknown', until shared.
3⃣ Once the number is shared, you will always see it — even if you delete it from your contacts list. No reason to hide it again.
