Facebook Messenger chatbots now support payments

The feature was announced by David Marcus at Techcrunch Disrupt SF 2016, who noted that the payments system will support most credit cards and payment services including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Stripe, PayPal and Braintree.

❓ Why doesn’t Telegram prevent cheating in games built on our platform?

Telegram's gaming platform enables bot developers to create in-chat games, but the Telegram team doesn’t control the way each game works, so cheating can occur. In order to prevent this, we would need to sync not only the results, but every action players take in every game, with the developer's server — which would be hard for developers to set up and maintain.

Cheating is a problem for many games, including those that are published on the App Store or Google Play. In each case, it is up to the game developers to catch any cheaters. As more and more games are published by third-party developers over time, we hope you will be able to find games that work just as you want them to.

Bot API 3.6

— Supported text formatting in media captions. Specify the desired parse_mode (Markdown or HTML) when you provide a caption.

— In supergroups, if the bot receives a message that is a reply, it will also receive the message to which that message is replying – even if the original message is inaccessible due to the bot's privacy settings. (In other words, replying to any message in a supergroup with a message that mentions the bot or features a command for it acts as forwarding the original message to the bot).

— Added the new field connected_website to Message. The bot will receive a message with this field in a private chat when a user logs in on the bot's connected website using the Login Widget and allows sending messages from your bot.

— Added the new parameter supports_streaming to the sendVideo method and a field with the same name to the inputMediaVideo object.
