To log in, you need a code that Telegram sends to an active session, via SMS, or to a linked email.

👋 Many users have only one active session. If you reinstall the app, the code won’t be delivered there anymore, and SMS delivery can sometimes be unreliable. That’s why receiving the code via email is the most reliable option.

🚫 Even if you have multiple active sessions, Telegram’s anti-spam system may occasionally terminate them. In this case, you’ll need a login code again.

👍 To avoid losing access, we recommend linking your email in advance. This way, you can receive login codes via email and access your account without relying on SMS or an active session.
