Began the day bright and early with a visit to Ang Mo Kio bus interchange and MRT Station. Met many residents as they started their day – active seniors on their way to the gym, parents taking children to pre-school, and residents commuting to work. Saddened to learn of Pope Francis’ passing today. Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis showed himself to be a progressive on many social issues. He engaged representatives of other religions, and pushed consistently for interreligious dialogue.

Today, SM Teo Chee Hean and DPM Heng Swee Keat announced they will step down from politics. They have been inspiring mentors and role models to their younger colleagues.
