In Parliament today, Coordinating Minister K Shanmugam spoke on race and religion. For decades, we have progressed as a nation, regardless of race, language, or religion. Singaporeans live by this; it is the bedrock of our nationbuilding. Let’s continue to embrace diversity and live in harmony, while upholding the integrity of our secular politics. We must never mix race and religion with politics. go.gov.sg/19e1bx

Visiting the Recoleta Cemetery was definitely a memorable experience. It is a major cultural landmark, and often described as an open-air museum. I also went for a walk by the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve. It is the largest green space in Buenos Aires, and also a hotspot for birdwatching, with over 300 bird species identified! go.gov.sg/wdg9ik

Managed to take a short walk through Little Venice in the evening. The area earned its name from its scenic canals and waterways, similar to the famous Italian city.

Good to be back at Chatham House. I was last here in 2014. Spoke on trade, security, and the importance of multilateral cooperation. Also had an engaging dialogue on geopolitical and economic trends in this era of global uncertainty. Thank you to Chatham House for the warm welcome and thoughtful discussion. You can watch the session here: go.gov.sg/lhl-chathamhouse-2025.

Had a good visit to Imperial College London’s Schools of Convergence Science, to learn about their multi-disciplinary approach towards tertiary education. They bring together different fields to tackle complex global challenges. I also had a great time connecting with Singaporean students studying at Imperial. Hearing about their experiences, ambitions, and the projects they are involved in. May your years here be enriching and meaningful. go.gov.sg/xjk26k
