Visited The Anchor @ Marine Parade, an underground social service hub connected to the Marine Parade MRT station. It is a meaningful use of our underground space, designed to meet existing and future needs of groups serving youths, seniors, persons with disabilities, caregivers and others in the community. go.gov.sg/u6bo3y

The June school holidays are here! It’s a good time to recharge, explore new hobbies, and spend time outdoors. There are many experiences around Singapore to discover, and new friends to meet along the way. Spending time outdoors you may even meet unexpected “friends” from nature! go.gov.sg/5m4gcm

Hosted General Secretary and President To Lam to dinner this evening. President Lam is here on a State Visit. He delivered the keynote speech at the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue yesterday. We had a good exchange on the longstanding and positive relationship between Singapore and Vietnam. I hope that President Lam’s visit was a pleasant and productive one, and wish him and Vietnam all the very best. go.gov.sg/9bx7s

Today, Buddhists around the world observe Vesak Day, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and passing of Gautama Buddha. Many devotees will spend the day in prayer, reflection and acts of generosity. May this occasion bring peace and serenity to all, and inspire us to live by the Buddha’s teachings of compassion and kindness.

Wishing all Buddhists a blessed Vesak Day! go.gov.sg/7s460f

If the skies are clear this evening, look out for the full moon. Tonight's full moon is a "Blue Moon", so called because it is the second full moon in the same calendar month. It is also a "Micro Moon", as the Moon is at its farthest distance from Earth, making it appear slightly smaller and dimmer than usual.

While not actually blue, of course 🙂 it is still a beautiful sight, and perhaps worth a photo or two. 🌕 go.gov.sg/dg1spz

Took a #jalanjalan through the blooms of hydrangea at Gardens by the Bay’s Blue Beauties over the weekend. Hydrangeas symbolise gratitude, understanding, and unity. Their tightly clustered florets collectively form the beautiful inflorescence. The display runs till 21 June. Admission is free for children during this school break. Do bring your kids if you can! go.gov.sg/dcqrnu

Enjoyed a #jalanjalan at i Light Singapore during its opening weekend. This year’s theme, “Movement”, is reflected across the artworks on display. #iLightSingapore runs daily until 28th June, from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Bring your loved ones and enjoy the sights and activities around Marina Bay and Raffles Place as the area comes alive at night! go.gov.sg/kjgm44

This evening, Muslims in Singapore welcome the start of the new Islamic (Hijri) year, 1448. The new year begins with the month of Muharram, one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar — a time for prayer, reflection, and renewal of one's commitment to doing better in the year ahead. Wishing all our Muslim friends a blessed Islamic New Year! go.gov.sg/hl7ew7
