There is currently NO outbreak of #MarburgVirusDisease in Nigeria.

However, measures such as heightened surveillance, diagnosis & rapid response teams are in place to prevent & mitigate an outbreak of the disease in-country.

#LassaFever can be transmitted by food that has been contaminated with the urine and faeces of infected rats.

Ensure all food items are cooked properly before eating.

Healthcare workers are advised to always practice standard precautions.

Wear gloves and other appropriate personal protective equipment while providing care to patients.
