📜Following confirmations of #Lassafever cases in Nasarawa state and the Federal Capital Territory, the NCDC has published health advisories for the general public and healthcare workers to mitigate the spread of the disease

In Nigeria, #Lassafever occurs throughout the year, but more cases are recorded during the dry season

To reduce the risk of spread;

Store grains & foodstuffs in rodent-proof containers
Maintain a clean environment
Observe frequent hand hygiene

It is the dry season! Lassa fever occurs throughout the year but more cases are recorded during the dry season i.e. November through May.

Healthcare workers are urged to maintain a high index of suspicion for #Lassafever.

Be vigilant and lookout for symptoms of Lassa fever, not all fevers are malaria.
