In 2017, the Nigeria #AMR Technical Working Group identified limited diagnostics utilisation & inadequate lab quality assurance as major factors affecting effective pathogen identification & #antimicrobial susceptibility testing in Nigerian health facilities.
In an ongoing collaboration between the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control & Robert Koch Institut, a baseline study was conducted aimed to improve diagnostic stewardship & expand #AntimicrobialResistance surveillance capacity, particularly in Nigerian secondary healthcare facilities.
