What I'm really upset about is that Telegram tries to avoid any kind of support or moderation with own efforts as possible.

🚫 Scam alert - there's somebody who impersonates me as a creator of @Swiftgram

Reports to @notoscam don't work - nobody is reading them and the scammer is contacting people in private (demanding for money, perhaps), pretending to be a developer of an app with thousands of users.

One year ago I received an email from Apple

Swiftgram (build 1) is now available to test.

This email turned into something... something really personal.
About one month later we were out of all available beta slots (10k).

Today, Swiftgram is
• 281k monthly active accounts
• 4.5/5 App Store rating
• 50+ customization settings
• 100% open source
• 1 design award
• I lost the count of small improvements

I've been reflecting on this post for a while (so it's a bit late) and don't really want to focus on numbers much.

Truly valuable asset is You and your Trust in something I create.

The way people were welcoming Swiftgram... oh, it was a breath of fresh air for both me and you!

But, one year is only a beginning of a journey. Stay tuned!

⌛️ When Swiftgram update?

Since Swiftgram is a fork (clone) of an official app, It depends on a public source code.

This is how typical update looks like

1. Telegram publishes update to AppStore
2. Telegram publishes source code to GitHub
3. I need to stop everything I'm doing and pick-up latest code changes
4. Solving all code conflicts to keep existing Swiftgram features working
5. Uploading to beta.swiftgram.app and waiting for Apple to approve new version in TestFlight
6. Checking your feedback in chats. Major update issues are discovered within one day
7. Sending Swiftgram to Apple App Store Review. If review was smooth, you will be able to download new version in App Store!

UPD: Telegram released Source code for 11.4 and 11.5, about 33 days since App Store release.
