💎 Fee calculation in TON Wallet is now clearer

On the TON blockchain, transaction fees are not calculated in advance — instead they are determined at the moment the transaction is executed. Several factors influence the final fee, including the type of the transaction, network load and other parameters. The exact amount cannot be known before the transaction is processed.

You may have noticed that when making a transaction, TON Wallet reserved slightly more TON than might actually be needed to pay the network fee. Once the transaction is completed, the exact fee is deducted from this amount, and the remaining TON is instantly returned to your balance.

The TON Wallet interface now shows network fees even more clearly. When confirming a transaction, you’ll see two values on the screen: the exact network fee and the temporary reserve allocated for its payment.

After the transaction is completed, the reserved TON will automatically return to your balance.

The update is available in all versions of TON Wallet when paying network fees in TON, USDT or Telegram Stars ⭐

In TON Wallet, Bitcoin is represented as cbBTC (Coinbase Wrapped BTC) — a token backed 1:1 by real BTC.

Wrapped tokens are a common mechanism in crypto, where the underlying asset is locked in one network, and a tokenized version is issued on another network, reflecting its value.

🖥 Why use wrapped BTC?

Bitcoin is a separate network that is not directly compatible with Ethereum or TON. Wrapped assets solve this by creating a tokenized version of BTC that can be used across other blockchains.

cbBTC is a version of BTC issued by Coinbase. It is backed by real Bitcoin held in custody by Coinbase — a publicly listed cryptocurrency company in the United States.

cbBTC represents a tokenized exposure to BTC held in custody by Coinbase. This is ensured by several mechanisms:
● 1:1 backing — each cbBTC is backed by one real BTC
● Proof-of-Reserves — anyone can verify the reserves on-chain

🛫 Withdraw USDT and USDC to other networks

We’ve not only updated deposit methods in TON Wallet, but also improved withdrawals. You can now withdraw stablecoins from TON Wallet to an external address on Ethereum, Arbitrum, TON, BSC, Polygon, TRON, Base and Solana — without leaving the app.

For example, you can send USDT from TON Wallet and receive it as USDC in another wallet on the Solana network.

● Open TON Wallet → Withdraw → USDT
● Select External wallet
● Choose the asset you want to receive: USDT or USDC
● Select the network, enter the wallet address and amount, then confirm the transaction

That’s it. The rest is handled automatically by MoonPay, which processes the conversion and transfer of funds with a fixed withdrawal fee depending on the selected network.
