The Ministry of Health (MOH) is aware of scam calls from individuals impersonating as MOH officers. The impersonator would inform the victim that he/she has an outstanding subsidy or claim application and instruct him/her to bring documents to the MOH main building for verification. The impersonator would also offer to transfer the call to βthe policeβ to verify the authenticity of the call.
MOH does not require individuals to submit documents in-person for subsidies and/or claims matters. MOH also does not request for bank transfers, cash or personal bank details from individuals. We encourage people who have received such calls to make a police report.
Verify the authenticity of the phone calls by calling MOH hotline at 6325 9220 or visit Scam Shield at go.gov.sg/protect-against-scams to verify potential scams.
