Made an official visit to China last week, my first as Senior Minister. Just as in previous visits, I had productive meetings and discussions with Chinese political and business leaders. I also spoke with Singaporeans who were based in China, for work or other reasons. Between engagements, I went #jalanjalan to get a sense of the city I was in. You can watch the recap of my visits to the three cities I visited on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@leehsienloong/shorts

Took in the early morning calm during a #jalanjalan at Mandai Boardwalk on Monday. This 3.3km boardwalk overlooks Upper Seletar Reservoir and offers the occasional encounter with wildlife amidst the surrounding nature. It is open from 7am to 7pm every day and entry is free. Do take time to visit! go.gov.sg/hua5n7

I first visited the Rail Corridor in 2015. One of my first #jalanjalan there was from Tanjong Pagar to the Gillman Flyover. At that time, only parts of the trail were open. After many walks over the years, I have now completed the full length of the Rail Corridor, from Kranji Node to Tanjong Pagar. Sharing a few photos from my journey here: go.gov.sg/5g2lnu ;)

Happy Chinese New Year! 🐎 Went on a #jalanjalan to the Gardens by the Bay. Lovely to see these Year of the Horse displays in full bloom amidst lush floral landscape. May this Fire Horse year, symbolised by ambition, passion and transformation, spur us on to explore new possibilities, seize opportunities, and find the courage to keep moving forward. Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous new year!

Back at the National Orchid Garden for another #jalanjalan. The Garden continues to wow, displaying more than 1,500 orchid species and 3,000 hybrids. Orchids are an important part of Singapore’s heritage and identity, and the Garden showcases the beauty and diversity of these remarkable plants. Kudos to the NParks team for their care and dedication maintaining the Garden so beautifully. Do visit if you can. :) go.gov.sg/ihq8bt

Went for a #jalanjalan in Kuantan before dinner last evening. I started at the Kuantan Art Street, strolling through a vibrant area of colourful murals, each telling its own story. I then made my way to Kuantan 188 and took in views of the city from the tower – a landmark standing 188 metres tall over Kuantan, the capital city of Pahang. go.gov.sg/1wdpv1

Was able to squeeze in some #jalanjalan over the past two days in Nanning. Took in some fresh morning air at Qingxiu mountain (青秀山) yesterday, the ‘green lung’ of Nanning. Was also delighted to stroll around the historic and cultural district Sanjie Liangxiang (三街两巷), which translates to “Three Streets and Two Alleys”. Heading to Shanghai next. Looking forward to the upcoming meetings and engagements! go.gov.sg/w0qt9u
