Visit a healthcare facility when experiencing symptoms associated with #Monkeypox for diagnosis and proper care.

Symptoms include:
➡️Sudden fever
➡️Headache
➡️Body pain and weakness
➡️Sore throat
➡️Enlargement of glands
➡️Rash on the face, palms, soles of the feet and genitals
#Monkeypox is transmitted from human to human through contact with an infected person or contaminated materials and exposure to respiratory droplets.

Visit a health facility close to you for proper treatment if you notice #monkeypox-associated symptoms.

Prevention and control of zoonotic diseases require the collective effort of the human, animal and environmental sectors.

Examples of these diseases are #LassaFever, #Measles, #Cholera, #Rabies, #Monkeypox, #EbolaVirusDisease, #AvianInfluenza etc.
Zoonotic, water/food borne & vector-borne diseases eg. #cholera, #LassaFever, #measles, #monkeypox etc. repeatedly pose threats to humans & animals with significant disability & death rates

Maintain a high index of suspicion for #Monkeypox, especially for patients presenting with fever and vesicular/pustular rash.

Cook all animal meats & products properly before eating
Wash hands after handling animals & caring for/visiting sick people
