To make this round fairer, we limited purchases of Durov’s Sunglasses 🕶 (~$600, max 3 per user) and Resistance Dog 🕶 (~$100, max 5 per user) to Premium users only. Still, both sold out in 15 seconds. 🥹

Should we release 2-3 more gifts on September 1st with even tighter buying restrictions? 🤔

🕶 User @wildbee_00 bought 120 Resistance Dogs, even though there was a 5-per-user limit.

He bypassed this restriction by creating multiple accounts, buying Telegram Premium for them, and then making a userbot to purchase the gifts — effectively sidestepping the limit.

As a reminder, regular bots can’t buy gifts marked «Premium».

🔐 Most users may be experiencing login issues with oauth.telegram.org and my.telegram.org

After confirming the login or entering the correct code, the page automatically reloads and the login is canceled.

🪙 Earlier, I mentioned that new strings appeared in Telegram code saying that if sending an SMS with an activation code is expensive in your country, Telegram will suggest buying a one-week Premium subscription for $1.49 (price may vary).

Lately, users in most countries are seeing this warning — even where SMS isn’t expensive. It seems Telegram wants more users to start using Premium perks.

In some cases, the warning may also appear on accounts that already have Telegram Premium, so that’s a bug.

Checked out how the new feature works:
— Your profile shows a playlist with all the songs you’ve added, and others can see them.
— The rating system has nothing to do with this.
— To add music, just send a track to any chat (even Saved Messages), tap it, and choose "Add to Profile". You can also add tracks from other users’ profiles and playlists.

Pretty much the same as in VK 😁
