New tab for ad creation has appeared on the test server in Telegram Ads — Users.
Previously, only Search, Bots, and Channels tabs were available when creating an ad. Now Telegram is testing a separate targeting type focused directly on users.
What can be configured in the new target:
Telegram is moving toward much more precise ad targeting — not just where ad is shown, but who exactly sees it: by interests, languages, countries, specific locations, device type, and audiences of specific channels.
!!! UPD: Some say this feature has been there for a while — I only noticed it now. So this is more of an FYI.

× Ad placement — ad format: Message in Channel or Banner in Video;
× Target countries — countries where the ad will be shown. One country must be selected;
× Target locations — specific cities or locations within selected country;
× Target user languages — user languages;
× Target topics — interest topics for ad targeting;
× Only target users interested in all selected topics — separate toggle that shows ads only to users who match all selected topics at once;
× Target channel audiences — lets you choose channel audiences to target;
× Target device type — All devices, iOS, Android, Mobile, or Desktop;
× Show this ad in channels related to Politics & Incidents only — separate toggle to show ads only in channels related to this category;
× Exclude topics — topic exclusions;
× Exclude channel audiences — exclusions by audiences of specific channels;
× Do not show this ad in channels related to Politics & Incidents — separate toggle to fully exclude this channel category.

MTProto proxy is used to obfuscate Telegram traffic. When a connection is established, the client sends a TLS ClientHello message, and its parameters can be analyzed by DPI systems to identify the traffic type.
The issue was that the previous TLS ClientHello implementation produced an unusual TLS fingerprint. In Telegram Desktop, for example, 0xfe02 was used instead of 0xfe0d, and there were 20 bytes of random data instead of 32. This increased the likelihood of accurate MTProto proxy traffic detection.
After these changes, TLS ClientHello is now closer to the profile of regular browser traffic. This may make detection and blocking of MTProto proxy connections more difficult, especially in networks with active DPI filtering, including in Russia.

Stable Telegram for Android updated to v12.6.4 (6666). It adds new TLS ClientHello generation for MTProto Proxy, making traffic look more like regular browser traffic — so it should be harder to detect and block via DPI.

Based on recent changes on test Fragment, a new payment flow for Stars is being prepared. Code now includes currency: 'usdt', a separate ERC20 popup, and a new payment flow replacing the standard Wallet.sendTransaction — which is now commented out in this part. QR for top-up address was also added, along with a dedicated interface for this process. Looks like they’re testing a separate USDT payment flow for buying Stars.
