In the new Telegram Beta for Android v12.3.1 (6384), the new design has been further refined.
— The connection, waiting for network, and updating status now appears under the «Telegram» logo.
— The theme switch button (light ↔ dark) has been moved into the three-dot menu on the main screen (previously it was shown next to it).
— The bottom navigation bar (Contacts, Calls, Chats, Profile) has been improved, with more prominent text.
— A new «Add Story» button has been added above the «New Chat» button (bottom right, next to the navigation bar).
There are also minor tweaks, including more rounded buttons, the profile the button has been changed from «Add Story» to «Edit Info», the search bar hiding while scrolling chats, and other small fixes.

Strange things are happening with the «Cake» gifts on the test server.
A second emoji pack with models has appeared (so the gifts now have two model packs), and these models show 0% rarity (these new models also don’t show up when you tap on the gift rarity percentage). The «Owner» field is also gone — Cake gifts now belong to no one. On the internal NFT resale market, their price has dropped to 0 Stars.
Some developers are also buying up gifts with the same backdrop color.
I’m not going to guess what this is about, and I don’t recommend you do either. We’ll see what it leads to later!!!

From what we’re seeing, they take four different «Cake» NFT gifts, each with different rarity percentages for the model, symbol, and backdrop. If among those four there’s a gift with a low rarity percentage for the symbol, that symbol carries over to the crafted gift. If there’s a gift with a low rarity percentage for the backdrop, that backdrop carries over as well. What happens to the model is still unclear.
The gifts used for crafting will only be accessible via direct links, won’t have an «Owner» field, and you’ll likely be the only one who can see them in profile — though that’s not confirmed.

Some changes to «Gift Crafting» on the test server. The newly crafted gift now takes one of the gift numbers from the items you used for crafting. You can also craft using anywhere from 2 (3?) to 4 gifts.
Keep in mind this is the test server, and functionality changes frequently.

New commit called «Redesign WIP» was added to Telegram’s official code on GitHub. The Nekogram client has already implemented it in a test APK. Here’s what we can expect in future Telegram updates:
— The top bar with pinned messages and music is now a separate "island" with added transparency.
— On the main screen, the panel that shows the music player and Telegram service messages is also now a separate island, with added transparency.
— The bottom navigation bar has been redesigned. It now goes: Chats, Contacts, Settings, and Profile. The «Calls» tab has been removed and moved into the Contacts tab as «Recent calls».

Clarification: instead of the «Settings» tab in the bottom navigation bar, you can bring back the «Calls» tab.
To do this, go to Contacts → Recent calls → Show Calls Tab.
To remove the «Calls» tab and restore the default layout, open Calls → tap the three dots → Hide Call Tab.

A new emoji has been added to the Telegram Beta for Android v12.3.1 (6407). It’s used somewhere in the interface and is called "large_forge.png". It strongly looks like it’s meant for the «Gift Crafting» feature — but we’ll see 👀

— The crafting can result you with nothing. This happens most often when using 2 gifts, while using 3 or 4 has more chance to get new gift after crafting, but there’s still a chance you could lose all 4.
— Crafting on the test server is currently free, though this could still change.
— The first gift you select for crafting determines the ID of the crafted gift. For example, if the gift IDs are 100, 5926, 1536, and 8888, the crafted gift will get ID 100 (for example, Cake-100).
— Colors are rolled randomly, but if you use 4 gifts with the same color (for example, Black), the crafted gift will end up with that same color (in this case, also Black)
— Transferring, selling, and making offers for these gifts is disabled. This is likely temporary, as the server-side functionality isn’t fully ready yet.
— You can’t craft gifts that have already been crafted before, as they have a server-side flag that blocks this action.
— Gifts that were previously on the blockchain likely won’t be usable for crafting.
— The total quantity of gifts will decrease. For example, if it’s 1234/2000, after crafting 4 gifts it will become 1231/1997.
That’s all for now.
All of this information is preliminary — we’re waiting for beta updates with the actual feature. Crafting access isn’t available in any beta builds yet, this was obtained through other methods, so don’t try to look for it. Which collections will be available for crafting in the stable release is still unknown — it could be any collection. In my opinion, crafting is the best thing that could happen to gifts. Their total supply goes down, prices go up, and they become more unique — thanks to the second model pack.

Some changes have rolled out in the internal NFT gift resale marketplace.
Collections with more gifts priced in Stars are now shown first, and within those collections, Star-priced gifts are listed at the top. Collections where most listings are priced in TON appear lower on the main screen, and TON-priced gifts are also pushed down within their collections.
UPD: It probably also depends on the current supply of gifts on collection.
